Tears and anguish clouded the requiem mass of the slain Monica Kimani at the MKU Grounds in Thika Kiambu County on Thursday.

Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu who was also at the requiem mass proposed a change in the law regarding the release on bond of murder suspect.

Waititu argued that the release of the murder suspects has always made the suspects interfere with ongoing cases.

Kimani’s parents were overwhelmed with tears as they viewed their daughter’s body in the casket.

Her father Paul Ngarama expressed anguish over her daughter’s murder saying she has forgiven the killers.

The late Monica Kimani, who was about to celebrate her 29th birthday, will be laid to rest on Friday at the family farm in Gilgil, Nakuru County.

Meanwhile TV anchor Jacque Maribe has presented herself for questioning at the Kilimani Police Station after her fience Joe Irungu was arrested and charged with the murder of Kimani.
