The Nairobi County Assembly has now adopted a motion moved today by Waithaka ward MCA Anthony Kiragu seeking an explanation on the role of former Starehe Member of Parliament Simon Mbugua in the Nairobi county government.

In the motion Mbugua who is a personal friend to governor Sonko has been accused of threatening MCAs with goons with recent victim being Roysambu ward representative Peter Warutere who is the chairman of water committee in the assembly.

Mbugua is also on the spot after he recently verbally assaulted the CEC for health in front of his juniors in a workshop in Mombasa.

The speaker has directed the entire house leadership to move with speed and fetch response from governor Mike Mbuvi Sonko before Mbugua becomes a threat to county operations.

Mbugua  was nominated by Jubilee Party to represent Kenya in East Africa Legislative Assembly but  his closeness with governor and frequent  presence at City-hall corridors  has caused jitters.
