Uproar over rising dog bites in Shauri Moyo

Nairobi’s Shauri Moyo residents have sounded an alarm over dog bite menace that has hit the area recently.

Peter Mshera says approximately five children have suffered from dog bites in the area in the past one week.

According to Mshera his child was bitten on the ear and the leg on Sunday and was treated in a hospital in Jericho.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News Mshera says they were forced to kill the dog after complaints from other parents.

According to Mshera the area is ridden with marauding dogs whose owners have failed to take good care of.

Statistics have it that approximately 2,000 Kenyans die every year out of, rabies a disease caused by dog bites.
