A section of residents from Umoja 3 are appealing to Kenya Power to restore power in the area after experiencing a blackout for four days now.

The residents claim that the area was plunged into darkness after a transformer exploded on Sunday.

Vincent Kaokwa a barber shop operator says the power outage has made them experience losses in their businesses.

He says that efforts to get Kenya Power to restore power in the area have been futile.

“We have closed businesses since Sunday and that means that no money for us,” says Kaokwa.

“The Kenya Power officials came on Monday took an electric pole and have never showed up again,” he stated.
