President Uhuru Kenyatta has told off those opposing his handshake with Raila Odinga saying leaders should focus on issues affecting the country but not engaging in 2022 politics.
Addressing mourners at Kenneth Matibas’ second funeral service in Muranga county Kenyatta says he made personal decision to mend political animosity with Raila and nobody has any authority to question the unity deal.
He further affirmed that he will continue working with former premier to ensure Kenya is united beyond 2022 politics and that he will shun divisive and tribal politics that are pegged on political deals and MOUs.
Earlier Raila took head on those opposing constitutional reforms reminding them the need to have all Kenyans accommodated in the government.
Deputy president Willaim Ruto is against the referendum saying the move is to create jobs for political losers.
The late Matiba will be cremated tomorrow Friday at a private family function to be held at Langata cemetry.
