President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were today sworn for the second term at the Kasarani Stadium.
Uhuru took his oath at 12.55pm after which his deputy followed suit.
The swearing in ceremony was attended by thousands of Kenyans who started streaming in as early as 4 am.
At least 10 heads of state namely Yoweri Museveni, Edgar Lungu of Zambia, Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Salva Kiir of South Sudan among others attended the event.
Uhuru pledged to unite the country and fulfill his pledges in his second and final term.
