Kenyans seem to have given the Labour Day Celebrations a wide berth.

The day which is always set aside for the celebration of workers saw only a handful of Kenyans attend.

Lately Kenyans have expressed disappointment over various ills by the government including corruption, high cost of living and the recent  introduction of the housing fund levy.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Opposition leader Raila Odinga were also absent at the event.

The only leaders present were Labour CS Ukur Yattani, COTU Secretary general Francis Atwoli and some MPs.
