President Uhuru Kenyatta has congratulated Rugby player Collins Injera after leading try scorer in rugby sevens on Saturday.
Uhuru praised Injera for breaking the tries record in the IRB series describing the selfless pass from his brother humphrey Khayange as special.
He said the government will invest in the team as they prepare for London Olympics adding that the Kenya sevens rugby team has placed the sport in the hearts of Kenyans.
In his win on Saturday, Injera crossed the line four times on the opening day of the final round of the 2015-16 Sevens World Series in London.
This took him past the previous record of 230 set by Argentina’s Santiago Gomez Cora.
