The government through Inter Public Universities Consultative Council Forum and the UASU Union will tomorrow launch the long awaited 2017-2021 collective bargaining agreement for lecturers .
The CBA will thereafter be negotiated to set new salaries for lecturers who have been in and out of class.
Speaking to Ghetto Radio News UASU vice chairman Joseph Mberia says they will ensure quick signing of the CBA, for implementation before 2018 -2019 budget is drafted.
He further stated that they will not condone any hide and seek games by the government during the negotiations, accusing the council of lack of commitment on dons’ welfare.
Last year lecturers went on strike three times paralysing learning in all public universities.
