Two teachers were Wednesday morning killed by suspected Al Shabaab militants who attacked a Secondary School in Mandera.
Police say the militants hurled explosive devices at the Arabia Boys High School teachers’ house before killing them.
Police reservists guarding the school are said to have engaged the attackers who then fled as more reinforcements were mobilised.
“All other teachers and students are safe and no other part of the school was affected,” said the National Police Service in a statement.
A hunt for the attackers has since been launched.
