Two MPs Arrested over Marsabit clashes

Two Members of Parliament from Marsabit County have been arrested over violence that has claimed the lives of at least 14 people in the area.

North Horr MP Chachu Ganya and Dido Rasso of Saku Constituency were arrested on Monday morning and taken to the DCI headquarters in Nairobi for grilling.

The legislators; Chachu Ganya (North Horr) and Ali Rasso (Saku) were arrested on Monday morning in Marsabit and taken to the DCI headquarters in Nairobi for grilling.

Last week, the two MPs and Marsabit Governor Ali Mohamud Mohamed were grilled for close to four hours over the clashes.

The three were allegedly mentioned as being behind the skirmishes by the Eastern DCI boss.
