Kenyan Premier League sides Tusker and Ulinzi Stars will go head-to-head to battle out for the title of Gotv Shield as the tournament gets to the finals at the Nyayo National Stadium on Thursday October 20.
The winner is expected to be a cracker and will book an express ticket to continental football and will represent Kenya in the CAF confederations Cup.
Tusker are in the final for the first time since 2005 where they were beaten 2-1 by the then World Hope, now rebranded as Nairobi City Stars, while Ulinzi are in the final for the first since 1995 where they went down 2-0 to the now defunct Rivatex.
While Tusker, who are chasing a double this season – the Premier league included, will be going for their first domestic title since 1993, Ulinzi Stars will be taking aim at a first title in only their second final.
In making the final, Tusker took down KCB 1-0 in the semis while Ulinzi Stars flattened Kariobangi Sharks 4-1.
The losers in the semis will curtain raise the big clash at the same venue from 11am soon after an exhibition game between a select FKF team and Sports Journalists Association of Kenya (SJAK) from 9am.
