Hawkers operating along Thika Road have raised alarm over alleged mistreatment by Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) officials.
They allege that the authority officials have chased them along the road where they operate accusing them of blocking it.
They also claim that officials are now fining them 50 thousand shillings for operating along the Road.
The Affected hawkers who are now counting losses now say they have nowhere to go.
Hawker Maina Kimani who operates near the Mathari hospital intimates keNHA official’s confiscated his goods including earphones depriving him of income and causing untold hardship.
“This is so unfair, why are they doing this to us?” he asked.
