Tension is high in Dandora after residents took to the streets to  protest the killing of a man only identified as Maasai near Dandora’s 41 bus stage.

The residents say Maasai was shot by a cop in the wee hours of Friday.

The residents allege that after shooting Maasai the cop placed a fake pistol on him.

We were working here together, then the cops came to take ‘finance’ as always. We give them Ksh. 300 daily, but those who came today are not the usual ones. They chased him then shot him. We are calling for justice. Area leaders need to intervene so that this trend can end.” Said one of the protesters

The residents are now calling on area MP to help them curb what they term as extra judicial killings in the area.

The incident comes just a day after a pair of twins who were alleged thieves were gunned down in Dandora’s Phase 2 area.

The residents report that Maasai was just a boda boda guy who doubled as a tout in the area.
