Kenyatta National Hospital workers have faulted the police for using teargas on them during today’s demonstrations over delayed payments for their health service allowances.

The workers who spoke to Ghetto Radio News say their demonstrations were peaceful and did not cause any disturbance at the hospital.

They further blamed the hospitals management for the morning incident vowing not to give up on their quest for the said allowances which were reportedly recommended by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission(SRC) in March 2015.

In a prior letter to the management of the Hospital signed by the Kenya union of domestic Hotels and Allied workers KUDHEIHIA Secretary General Albert Njiru, the over 4700 workers had warned of a strike if there will be no money by 5th of August.
