The Nairobi City County Liquor Licensing Board has formed an enforcement team to ensure that noise from bars and night clubs is regulated in the estates.

Hesbon Agwena, Head of the Board says this follows the ongoing National Examinations.

According to Agwena, the enforcement will be doing rounds in the estates to ensure that the boards regulations are followed.

Agwena’s sentiments come just a day after Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko threatened to withdraw licenses of clubs and bars making noise during the exam period.

The board have also noted that there has been a lot of Chang’aa Brewing in Kibra Slums and this has led to a higher mortality rates among the youths and are gearing towards eradicating it from the slums.
