The Tanzanian Government through the National Music Council popularly known as BASATA has come out to defend Diamond’s song Tetema following its ban in Kenya.
The organization has that the song followed the due procedure before it’s release terming it as a good song.
BASATA Secretary General Godfrey Mingereza, said the Tanzanian government reviewed the song and so it fit for public consumption.
Tunatoa onyo na hata kufungia nyimbo zao, lakini huu (TETEMA) hauna shida ndio maana nasema sijui wametumia vigezo gani kuuzuia usichezwe mchana,” he said
His response comes hours after KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua restricted Tetema and Wamlambez by new kids Sailors from being played outside Clubs and Bars.
