The Supreme Court has upheld Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua’s election victory, rejecting a petition challenging the vote.

The Court of Appeal nullified Mutua’s win on the basis that the returning officer used a wrong form to announce the results.

Mutua’s re election as governor was challenged by her rival on a Wiper ticket Wavinya Ndeti.

The Court has also upheld the re election of Embu Governor Martin Wambora, Kwale Governor Salim Mvurya.

Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter’s win has also been upheld.
