Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has given a 7 day notice to the management of Pumwani maternity hospital to better their services or face the sack.

The governor decried poor services at the hospital yet they have been well equipped by the county.

Speaking at the launch of the World breastfeeding week at Pumwani, he said it was a shame for the oldest facility in the county to send its patients to seek for ultra sound services outside the hospital yet the same services are being offered at Pumwani.

He alleges that this is being done by doctors who want to make profit at the expense of patients.

He has further decried the mushrooming of chemists outside county hospitals warning to shut them down soon.
