Slum in South B on the spot over alcohol abuse among children

A slum in Nairobi’s South area has been put on the spot over high consumption of alcohol.

Kisii slum in South B has been rated as one of the areas that are highly affected by alcohol consumption in Nairobi.

Wilkister Mukua from the Students Campaign Against drugs says some of the people affected by the alcohol menace in the slum include children between the ages of 13 to 19 years.

Mukua says the most consumed alcohol amongst the slum children is chang’aa.

NACADA last week a organized conference that brought both local and international panelists to deliberate on ways that they can fight the drug menace affecting the youth in different countries.

The conference also sought to identify projects that can help the youth fight high drug abuse levels.
