Shame of Nairobi schools where pupils learn under poor conditions

Residents of Dandora Phase 3 are in distress due to the poor condition of Tom Mboya Primary School leading to its poor performance over the years.

Some lower primary pupils sit on the muddy, uncemented floor as they learn due to insufficient desks.

The school’s perimeter wall has collapsed putting the pupils at security risk since the school is near the Dandora dumpsite.

Parents of the pupils of the school say last year they wrote a letter to the former Education CS, Fred Matiangi but nothing much was done.

They are now requesting the government to renovate and equip the school for efficient learning to take place.
