Several motorists were earlier today arrested, vehicles impounded following a crackdown conducted by NTSA and the police in Nyeri.
NTSA says some of the vehicles owners were charged for operating without valid motor vehicle inspection stickers and failing to comply with the Traffic Act.
A taxi driver was also charged for operating without a PSV badge as required by the PSV Regulations.
More motorists to be presented in court tomorrow for various traffic offenses.
According to the latest statistics, Nyeri is among the top 10 counties affected by road traffic crashes in Kenya.
To restore sanity on the roads, NTSA will suspend the driving licences of drivers found flaunting traffic rules and reinstate them only after the individuals has undergone driver retesting.
