Seefar apartments owners now want Water Resources Management Authority to revoke a demolition notice issued to them about two weeks ago.

According to the apartment’s Chairman Peter Otieno the residents did an independent survey which revealed that the demolution notice was illegal as Seefar apartments lay 47 kilometres away from the highest water mark.

Seefar apartments  residents were issued with a demolition notice on 12th October with NEMA and WARMA stating that it was built on riparian land.

The chairman has also said that WARMA and NEMA have agreed to go and do their own survey tomorrow together with resident representatives to ascertain the report by the residents after weeks of waiting
