Kenya Rugby Fraternity is mourning yet another death of a player. Mwamba RFC Player Victor Wayodi, collapsed on Saturday December 10 while on the pitch.
Mwamba was playing Top Fry Nakuru at Impala club when Wayodi who was making his first appearance at the club’s season collapsed.
He reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest when he was rushed to Nairobi women’s Hospital for treatment and died.
Wayodi’s death is second y in a span of seven days after Nondies’ Sylvester Ogeto Gecheo died while undergoing treatment at Aga Kgan Hospital, Nairobi.
Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) Chairman Richard Omwela opted to suspend all rugby matches to next year to allow the rugby fraternity mourn the two players.
