Rotich, Thugge Barred From Accessing Their Offices

Treasury CS Henry Rotich and PS Kamau Thugge  have been asked to keep off their offices at Treasury building.

Justice Douglas asked the two to ensure that they accompanied by an IO in case they needed to access their offices.

Ogoti who Ritich and Thugge a Sh15 million bail each also asked them to deposit their passports before they are released.

The two also have an option of depositing Sh. 50 Million bond.

Rotich and Thugge are accused of conspiring to defraud the government and failing to comply with procurement law and irregular procurement of insurance policy through single sourcing for the Arror and Kimwarer dams project.

Rotich’s lawyers earlier on argued in court that there was no reason to deny him bail furthers asking the court to give them favourable bail terms.

Rotich was represented by Kioko Kilukumi, Katwa Kigen, Jinaro Kibet, Mahat Somen and Phillip Nyachoti.
