As the crackdown on non compliant motorists on Michuki rules continue, boda boda operators in Kayole are raising concern over harassment by rogue police officers.

The operators claim that the officers are hiding under the guise of implementing the Michuki rules to extort money from them.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News they claim that yesterday during their operation, the officers demanded 200 hundred shillings from all boda boda operators who had complied with all the rules.

Private operators also decried harassment by the police who demanded that they install fire extinguishers in their vehicles an issue that was clarified by the traffic commandant as not necessary.
