Former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand is in the country for a two day visit courtesy of the Guinness made of more campaign.
While in the country Rio will take part in a series of activities to experience the passion of Kenya’s football fans first hand by meeting fans at the Guinness fan zone event over the weekend where there will also participate in viewing of afternoon games over the weekend including Manchester United vs. Liverpool.
Ferdinand has said he is excited about the partnership with Guinness because it will give him a chance to interact with fans and players during the football clinics organized where he will impact knowledge to the young players who aspire to reach great heights in football.
The former Manchester United defender was known for making the bold decision to follow his dreams at an early age of 19 years thus earning him 81 England caps, participating in three world cup squads and winning six Premier League titles together with 14 trophies during his stint at Manchester United.
The Guinness fan zone will take place at Uhuru gardens featuring international act Romain Virgo who will be headlining the event backed up by local artistes with the fans also getting a chance to participate in various activities at the event
