Migori governor Okoth Obado has been released on bond of Ksh. 500,000 or cash bail of Ksh.200,000 after spending two nights in remand.

In the ruling the justice Gandani denied the application by the prosecution to remand Obado for two weeks for them to carry do their investigations.

Gandani says that there was no compelling reasons for him to be denied bail and that he had proven that he cannot tamper with the evidence.

“There are no compelling reasons to detain him. He is not a flight risk and is not likely to tamper with witnesses,” Gandani said.

The judge has also ordered that Obado be availing himself to the police once every fortnight

Obado was arrested on Wednesday afternoon in a hotel in Nairobi in connections to the 8 guns that were found in his residents in Nairobi and Migori.
