Opposition leader Raila Odinga’s daughter Rosemary Odinga on Tuesday made her first public appearance since she was taken ill last year.

Rosemary who suffered a stroke last years was taken to South Africa for treatment after she was abruptly taken ill in Naivasha.

Rosemary was in Kibera slums yesterday where she donated 60 sewing machines to a group of women.

In Kibera she was seen confidently taking slow steps due to her blindness allegedly caused by the stroke.

The former Prime Minister’s daughter who went blind after the stroke says she is learning how to adjust to her new life since she lost her eyesight.

“Since my operation, i am learning to adjust to this new way of life, i am getting more support from people hence the confidence that pi have now,” she says.

Lawyer Donald B Kipkorir sent her a heart warming message for braving the condition and coming out in public and speaking about it.

“Dear Rosemary Odinga: “After saying this, He spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” He told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam”. So the man went and washed, and came home seeing” John 9:6-7 Praying that you find the Pool Of Siloam,” wrote Donald Kipkorir.
