Prophet Owuor Caught In A School Land Grabbing Scandal
A section of Mukuru Kwa Reuben residents have raised an alarm over an alleged sale of a primary school’s land.
Zacharia Bogonko an area leader says that Maendeleo Primary School which is built on a community land has been receiving funds from donors abroad to help the less previleged children in Mukuru slums.
Bogonko says after the death of the school’s proprietor known as Ngugi another woman took over the school and has been running it down.
Bogonko claims that the woman has now sold a section the school to Prophet Owuor who has already put up a structure in the school.
“Owuor came and built a tent in the school’s compound for his followers to worship, the tent then quickly shifted to a mabati structure and is now a church. So ho how is this woman trying to convince us that she has not sold the school’s land?” posed Bogonko.
He says, apart from Pastor Owuor, another spare parts dealer has been given space in the school putting the lives of the pupils at risk.
Bogonko is now calling on the area MP Julius Mawathe to step in and help salvage the school from being sold.
“If Mawathe could come in and intervene and probably help convert this school into a public school, we will be very greatful,” stated Bogonko.
