Bodaboda riders have been asked to present relevant documents and log books in order to secure the release of their impounded motorbikes.
This follows a directive by the Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on county askaris to release the motorbikes for free.
Nairobi Chairman of Bodaboda Association Kenneth Onyango has confirmed that the process of returning impounded bikes has started.
Onyango says that the process which started on Monday is expected to end on Friday.
The motorbikes are being held in different yards including one at St. Peter’s Clavers and another at the City Hall Grounds.
Onyango has further warned the bodaboda riders against breaking traffic rules adding that it will lead to their arrest and motorbikes impounded again.
