President Uhuru Kenyatta sends warning to Kenyans who escaped quarantine at KMTC
President Uhuru Kenyatta has said the government is in pursuit of those who escaped from quarantine facilities.
The President said he is aware of the matter and that the culprits will be arrested and taken back to complete their quarantine period.
“For those ones, those who we saw escaping. They should not think they have won. We know them and we will find them,” he said
Uhuru also urged Kenyans to continue to follow the measures set by the Ministry of Health in order to curb further infections in the country.
While addressing a series of Swahili media houses in the country, the president also affirmed the directive by the ministry of health to quarantine all those flaunting the measures put in place to curb the spread of CVIS-19.
“Ukishikwa, ukivunja hizo regulations, mimi nimesema hakuna haja ya kuwapeleka kwa polisi. Polisi wako na kazi nyingi ya kutulinda sisi…wakiwashika hawa waende waweke hawa kwenye quarantine wakae huko siku kumi na moja…wakivunja sheria tena waongezewe siku zingine kumi na moja,” he said
