Police were today morning forced to use teargas to disperse a group of goons that were looting property from the demolition site of prominent businessman’s building in Nairobi’s Githurai area.

County government bulldozers landed on the businessman’s property following a court order.

Among the properties destroyed include a four storey building and three homes that belonged to the businessman.

Some of the youths who were teargassed were those protesting the demolition of the properties.

The residents claim that the tycoon known as Kirima had grabbed a section of Zimmerman scheme and sold it to unsuspecting people.
