Police stations set to be fully digitized

The government has said there’s work in progress to fully digitize  the police force in the country.

Joe Mucheru the cabinet secretary for ICT  said during the regional commanders training in Loresho that the move is aimed at ensuring sufficient service delivery.

“The government is on the verge of digitization of services in police stations countrywide which will see automating of the occurrence book to help in efficient delivery of services and also we are working to ensure the stations have internet services to enable promote a sufficient system of communication.” He said

Early this month the interior cabinet secretary Fred Matiangi and the inspector general of police Joseph Boinnet supervised the launch of the digital process in the police service.

The process will see changes in the office to ensure there is efficient service delivery.
