Police nabbed two people in Nairobi’s Kahawa sukari estate after they were found in possession of bhang worth 4.5 million shillings.

The two were arrested while offloading the 1,114 kilograms of bhang from a petrol tanker  into sacks in their house at the estate.

Kiambu county commander Adiel Nyange said they were alerted by residents who saw men offloading suspicious items from the vehicle.

“The two will be taken to court today as we investigate where they were transporting the bhang from,” Nyange said.

Residents in the estate got suspicious of the new house owners after spotting several vehicles coming and leaving the premises at odd hours.

The two are believed to be known drug dealers that have been on the radar of Kiambu police for sometime now.
