A total of 28 people have recorded statements with police regarding the controversial death of businessman Jacob Juma.
police say some of those who gave their accounts included Juma’s immediate family members.
In a statement from the office of the Inspector General of Police Joseph Boinett, Juma’s wife was listed among those who have recorded their statements.
Police said exploitation of phone records deemed valued to the investigation, and the ballistic analysis of two spent cartridges recovered from the scene of crime are some of the areas they are focusing on in the probe.
It further said the cartridges were fired from AK 47 rifle(s) and indicated that preliminary examination of two similar weapons recovered during recent encounters with criminals indicate that ‘one of them could be the murder weapon.
