Parents have been advised to counsel and be close with their children this festive season to avoid unplanned pregnancies and other forms of immoralities.

Alexandaria Kinyanjui from LVct Health says teenagers and youths between age 14-24 are at higher risk of engaging in sexual activities and without contraceptives.

“Parents need to keep a closer look at their children. It is a festive season and the children are on a long holiday as well. This could mean many things including them engaging in unprotected sex,” he said.

He encourages those enjoying themselves this festive season to keep their body safe and stay sober.

Meanwhile Lyct Health is on course providing couselling services to youths in various parts of Nairobi.
