Pangani Cop Rashid Is Doing A Good Job – Kenyans
A section of Kenyans On Twitter have come to the rescue of a Pangani Police Station police officer Ahmed Rashid saying he has done a great job in cleaning the area.
Rashid who was branded a rogue cop on Wednesday by Kenyans On Twitter is believed to have cleansed the areas within his jurisdiction of crime.
Reports reaching Ghetto Radio Newsdesk indicate that #RashidTheRogueCop was sponsored by people who were angered by the arrest of some terror suspects in Eastleigh on Tuesday.
Easteigh and Mathare areas where Rashid operates were between 2005 and 2010 invaded by illegal gangs like Wakali Kwanza, Amka twende, hatutaki kujua, Casablanca, Chelsea among others.
The panga and gun wielding gangs were reportedly quashed out by Rashid when he was posted in Pangani about 10 years ago.
The defense of Rashid by this section of Kenyans on Twitter comes against accusations of extrajudicial killings, harassment and extortion from a section of KOT.
An opinion poll conducted by Ghetto Radio Presenter Majimaji, at least 52 percent of those polled are supporting Rashid while only 48 percent are against his actions.
Here is what some of them said;
“When thieves kill innocent civilians and peacekeepers, like in Korogocho, you don’t say human rights staff but when policemen kill thieves or just want a decimal of your million that’s when you remember human rights. This is wrong! He isn’t rogue.” @BrianOduol.
“Many would say that #RashidTheRogueCop But I know that Rashid Cleansed Eastleigh when it was very Unsafe for Eastleigh residents including my Family because of Super power and other Criminal gangs. Eastleigh today is a safe place because of him and his group. However, If he has,” says Maryam Omar
“If u have never lived in majengo shauri moyo easich matharee dont talk ill of rashid ruthless ways patana na hawa vijana dark corner hapo utaomba rashid atokelezee akusaidie #RashidTheRogueCop” @LeeNgugi3 tweeted.
