Owner Of Precious Talents School Says His Children Also Injured, Blames Sewer Construction
The management of Precious Talents School where seven pupils died today after a classroom wall collapsed on them has blamed the tragedy on the construction of a sewer line behind the school.
Moses Wainaina the proprietor of the school says the construction of the sewer line weakened the wall’s foundation resulting to the tragedy.
“The sewer line construction weakened the foundation of the wall hence leading uto the tragedy. We are not against the construction of the sewer line but we are saying that it should not have been very close to the school,” said Wainaina.
Wainaina who passed his condolences to the bereaved parents says as a manager he has also had his children injured in the tragedy.
“It is by bad luck, that the tragedy has happened. Parents have been very happy with the school. we pass our condolences to the parents who have lost their children and those injured as well. We as managers we have children who have also suffered injuries from the school,” hesaid.
He further reiterated the school’s high performance in national exams adding that the school has always topped in Dagoretti South constituency.
Precious Talent School has at least 800 pupils.
The wall reportedly collapsed at around 6.30 in the morning when some pupils had just settled in class.
