Residents of Kibera Section B are raising concerns over the criteria with which the Ministry of Housing and Urban is using to select beneficiaries of the newly constructed urban houses Kibra constituency.

The residents claim a list of 1800 beneficiaries released by the Ministry last week contains names of people who were not residents of the area.

Charles Gitonga claims he has stayed in the area for more than eight years and he has not been shortlisted, while others who are non residents are appearing in the list.

John Andalia another resident is now calling on all the stake holders involved in this project to go back to the drawing board and defend the rights of real kibera residents before they are evicted.
