Operation to flush beggars out of CBD to kick off Thursday

The County government of Nairobi will tomorrow start arresting all beggars within Nairobi CBD.

According to executive committee member for gender ,youth and social services Janet Ouko, the number of  beggars in the city is overwhelming adding that 80% are Tanzanians.

The county government is also set  to take stern action against those helping the beggars to acces CBD and those using them to make money.

Meanwhile National Council for People with Disability  NCPD has supported the move and will partner with the county to facilitate data collection of disable beggars who are Kenyans citizen.

Speaking to Ghetto Radio News  NCPD Chief executive officer Mohammed Gabbow says   Non-Kenyan citizen will be repatriated back to their respective countries.
