Online Taxi drivers have now raised an alarm over insecurity that is currently on the rise in the sector .
Under the umbrella of Drivers and partners association of Kenya they are accusing the online companies they working under for not caring about their security as they transport passengers.
According to association chairman Simon Njuguna last month alone more than 10 drivers were attacked in various destinations.
Njuguna says they have an app that provides a platform that connects them directly to police officers.
This is not the first time the online companies in Kenya Uber, Littlecabs, Taxify and Mondo are rubbing shoulders with their drivers over welfare.
More than 3000 drivers are subcribed to the association.
