The Orange Democratic Movement has set out rules to guide the much awaited Kibra Nominations set to be held on Saturday in its bid to conduct a democratic nomination.

In the set guidelines, the party has issues a stern warning against the candidates engaging in malpractices like electoral violence.

In a communique issued by the party, any candidate engaged in electoral malpractice will be disqualified and further punitive measure taken against them.

“A candidate who will go against the rules of nomination and engage in electoral malpractices including causing violence and disturbance will automatically be disqualified and further punitive measures taken against him as prescribed in the nominations rules,” said the party.

The party has further stated that any disputes that shall arise from the nominations will be dealt with by the party’s Disputes Resolution Tribunal.

“The Disputes Resolution Tribunal shall be expected to deal with any disputes by close of business on Sunday the 8th before the winner is issued with the valid certificate and his name presented to the,” stated the party on Twitter.

At least 10 candidates are set to participate in the by elections on Sunday.

The ODM Party has come under sharp criticism in the previous times for bangling nominations and awarding the certificates to party favourites.

The party has however promised to conduct free and fair nominations dismissing reports that there is a favourite candidate.

The ODM nominations will be conducted in all the registered polling stations.
