Football Kenya Federation has today launched OdiMtaani Cup Nairobi Edition.
This edition will consist of 64 teams from Nairobi which will compete against each other from seventh March and the finals to be held on May third 2020.
The tournament will be played in all the 47 counties to ensure Kenyan football is taken away from the grassroots levels to the national levels; this is to nurture the youth’s potential in football.
Odimtaani has also ensured every team from the grassroots has uniforms, balls and also to plan women football for the cup of nation in 2022 and for World Cup in 2023.
Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa hailed the Odimtaani initiative saying it has empowered many underprivileged youth.
Aggrey Sayi Odibets Country Marketing Manager said, the tournament money will be distributed to the participants in this order; The forth runners up will be awarded Ksh 100000, while the first runners up will get Ksh 800,000.
The individual awards for the outstanding performers for the top scorer, man of the match and the best goalkeeper will be awarded Ksh 300,00.
