Migori County Governor Okoth Obado and his co-accused Micheal Oyamo and Caspal Obiero will have to wait until Friday before they know the fate of their bail application.
This is after the prosecution charged the three afresh with the murder of Sharon Otieno’s unborn baby.
Obado and his co accused denied the charges.
A postmortem results conducted on Sharon Otieno revealed that she had been stabbed eight times.
Otieno was stabbed four times at the back, three times on the neck and once on the left side of her abdomen.
According to the pathologist, Oteino’s foetus died as a result of the stab on the abdomen.
Gynaecologist John Nyamu had earlier told Ghetto Radio in an interview at the Breakfast Show that Obado could only be charged with murder of an unborn child under section 228 of the constitution.
Nyamu have however stated that it the prosecution will have to prove beyond reasonable doubt that the unborn child did not die from circumstances that resulted to the death of the mother.
