At least 210 driver licenses have been suspended by the National Transport and Safety Authority this year.
NTSA Director General Francis Meja in a statement says the 210 drivers have been charged with various offences relating to violation of traffic rules and regulations.
Meja says that the drivers whose lisences have been suspended will have to go for refresher ytraining and retesting before they are allowed to drive again.
The authority has also stated that it will intensify efforts to wipe out all Drivers failing to observe traffic laws by revoking their licenses.
NTSA further urged the general public and motorists to be vigilant during this festive season.
