Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior commonly known as Neymar, is not new to controversy. Not only is he known for his prowess with a football, he is also known for his onfield and off-field antics.

However, this time round, his teammate and Paris St Germain goalkeeper has leapt to his defence shooting away claims that he is arrogant.

Speaking to a German publication, the German international refuted these claims saying,

He has a huge heart. He is incredibly nice and helpful. He’s anything but arrogant and is totally integrated into the team.”

However, despite the good press he is getting from his teammate, the football world never forgets. Here some of the moments that showed the world his arrogance.

Neymar Vs Semedo

In July 2017, Neymar while still at Barcelona was involved in a training bust-up with newboy Nelson Semedo. The pair had to be separated by fellow teammates. The bust-up resulted in him storming out of the pitch, cancelling his Asian tour and possibly fueled his move to Paris St Germain.

Neymar Vs Jordi Alba

Jordi Alba is a man enjoying his football at Barcelona following Neymar’s departure. Despite playing in the same wing, these two superstars never saw eye to eye. Their bad blood was broadcasted to the world when they were involved in a heated argument while playing againist Valencia in 2017.

Neymar Vs Anthony Ralston

This was after Bracelona trashed Celtic 5-0 in a Champion league tie back in 2017. The feud is said to have been sparked by Ralston refusing to exchange shirts with Neymar, since he wanted to auction it for Kenny Daglish’s cancer charity.

Neymar Vs Cavani

This is the biggest one so far.  Neymar and Cavani were involved in a squabble over a penalty spot kick while playing Olympique Lyon. The pair clashed at the begining of the 2018 season. Cavani went ahead to take the spot kick which he painfuly missed.

At the momment, Neyamr may have his teammate’s support, however the football world has a long memmory and we are not about to forget his shady misdeeds.
