Citizen TV news anchor Jacque Maribe was on Monday arraigned at a court in Kiambu over the murder of Kilimani woman Monica Kimani.

Maribe appeared in court with lawyer Katwe Kigen after spending two nights at Gigiri Police Station.

Kiambu principle magistrate Justus Kituku has given the police the go ahead to hold the media personality for ten more days to pave way for investigations.

“Am convinced that compelling reasons do exist to warrant retention in custody. So in the interest of justice I have granted prosecution 10 days to detain the suspect at Gigiri Police Station,” the Magistrate said.
Maribe was arrested on Saturday and taken to Gigiri Police Station where she spent the weekend.

Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) George Kinoti called for her arrest after investigators linked her to the murder.
