The National Super League the race for promotion is reaching its climax as the top six teams battle it out for the chance to play in the Kenyan Premier League.
KCB sit in third place, two behind Nairobi Stima and ten behind log leaders Western Stima who have played a game more than KCB.
KCB take on Nairobi City Stars in their next fixture which is scheduled for 22nd September at the Camp Toyoyo grounds, Jericho.
The season has been full of ups and downs with the team nearly breaking into a trend of very nervy games where they just scraped through at the end.
This ultimately lead to the sacking of Coach John Kamau. Since then, the bankers have played just one game under Elvis Ayany in which they held on to a 2-1 win against Kenya Police.
Most of the game was controlled by the bankers however, towards the end, as they have been doing more often than not, is not being able to finish the game on the same high tempo in which they started.
Coach Ayany is looking to improve on the last 15 minutes of play and look to do so against their next opponents, Nairobi City Stars.
The Stars are 12 points behind KCB having played the same amount of games (31). As the season comes to the latter stages, the bankers really have to take advantage of their situation so as to allow a smoother path to the KPL.
This is KCB’s number one priority and they are doing everything they can in order to make sure that happens. Interim coach Ayany is looking to take the banking boys back to where they belong.
