A high number of Nairobi residents today celebrated their Valentine’s day by donating blood at the KICC grounds.

The Kenya National Blood Transfusion Service today conducted a massive blood donation campaign at KICC grounds for the purpose of increasing the blood stocks in the country.

The Cabinet Secretary of Tourism Najib Balala was among the leaders who showed up to donate blood.

The campaign whose theme is “show your love, donate blood” is expected to gather over 10,000 units of blood in Nairobi to reduce human suffering.

Kenya Medical Practitioner and Dentist Union Secretary General Doctor Ouma Oluga said that cancer patients delay for treatment because of lack of blood and Kenyans should show their love by donating blood regularly.
